30 Years of
Elevating Readiness
Three decades of innovation, impact, and the people behind healthcare simulation.
For 30 years, we’ve helped advance how healthcare professionals prepare for the moments that matter most. From the first patient simulators to today’s connected simulation ecosystem, our story is one of continuous evolution – and the people, partnerships, and ideas that made it possible.
OUR JOURNEY
From a Breakthrough
to a Bigger Vision
What began with a breakthrough in patient simulation grew into something much bigger: an evolving ecosystem, education, and expertise designed to help people practice before the stokes are real.
1994

The First Patient Simulator
The University of Florida’s Gainesville Anesthesia Simulator (GAS) lays the foundation for the Human Patient Simulator (HPS), our first patient simulator.
1996

METI Is Founded
The founding team acquires the medical simulator business and establishes Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI), launching a new chapter in healthcare simulation.
2000

Simulation Goes Portable
METI develops a portable Human Patient Simulator designed for training in remote environments, expanding where simulation could be used.

FEATURED INNOVATION
30 Years of Innovation:
The Evolution of Healthcare Simulation
Thirty years of innovation wasn’t one breakthrough. It was generations of ideas building on another, from the first physiology-based patient simulator to today’s connected simulation ecosystem.

IMPACT MOMENTS
Real Stories. Real Experiences. Real Impact.
Over three decades, innovation has never existed in isolation. It has been shaped by the people and organizations using simulation to prepare for real-world challenges.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROGRESS
The People Who Helped Shape the Journey.
Technology may be what we build, but people are what move the work forward. Meet some of the people whose ideas, experiences, and dedication have helped shape 30 years of Elevate Healthcare.

WHAT’S NEXT
The Next 30 Years
Starts Here
Thirty years of innovation brought us here.
The next chapter will be shaped by new ideas, new technologies,
and the people who continue to push healthcare simulation forward.
30 YEARS OF ELEVATING READINESS
Same Purpose. A Brighter Tomorrow.
For 30 years, we’ve been advancing simulation to help people prepare for the challenges of practice. Technology will continue to evolve. New ideas will continue to shape what’s possible. But our purpose remains the same: to help make the world safer, healthier, and more productive.
