Elevate Healthcare partners with Manatee Technical College to build innovative career paths
As a global leader in healthcare education, we are proud to join forces with Manatee Technical College (MTC) to provide students with real-world assembly experience and potential career opportunities.
Inspiring students to explore healthcare simulation careers post-graduation supports our company’s mission to lead at the frontier of digital immersion with high-tech training and operational support to make the world a safer place.
During a recent session, 15 MTC students joined five Elevate employees, including an MTC graduate, to learn how to build one of the sub-assemblies for Ares, a mid-fidelity patient simulator designed to train learners in emergency care.
Students got the chance to experience production work firsthand by using step-by-step instructions to build the pulse assembly for a Ares right arm, understand one-piece manufacturing flow, and learn the importance of having an open mind when building an assembly – which is one of the principles that helped Elevate achieve gold in the 2021 Florida Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence awards.
We use hands-on experience to teach and train the students, so when they graduate from MTC they may consider joining Elevate for a career in manufacturing.
