A standardized patient or simulator wears the Evo AuRA vest, which contains RFID mesh at anatomically correct auscultation points. When a learner places the SimEquip Simulated Stethoscope on the vest, they hear the programmed heart, lung, or bowel sounds. Instructors control scenarios wirelessly via a tablet and can switch pathologies in real time.
Yes. Evo AuRA works on both standardized patients and patient simulators. The vest can be fitted over existing manikins to enhance auscultation fidelity without replacing your current simulation equipment.
Evo AuRA includes a comprehensive pathology library covering normal and abnormal heart sounds (including murmurs), lung sounds (crackles, wheezes, diminished breath sounds), and bowel sounds (normal, hyperactive, hypoactive, absent).
One stethoscope can be used per vest at a time. However, a single instructor device can program up to 12 stethoscopes, making Evo AuRA suitable for multi-station OSCE environments.
