March 26, 2026 11:30 AM - March 26, 2026 12:30 PM
Simulation in Action is Elevate Healthcare’s webinar series spotlighting the people and programs using simulation to drive real-world impact in healthcare. In the first of a four-episode spotlight, you’ll hear how the Centre for Advanced Medical Simulation (CAMS) at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is a powerful example of what’s possible when innovation, creativity, and operational excellence come together.
CAMS at NAIT is one of only four simulation centres in Canada accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and has created a financially sustainable model grounded in diversified revenue streams. We’ll explore how CAMS at NAIT achieves this while serving internal learners and external clients, from allied health students to military, law enforcement, industry partners, and MedTech teams. We’ll also look at how their applied research, health innovation services, and use of Elevate’s solutions and immersive technologies come together to create psychologically safe, highly engaging environments that support real-world impact.
What you’ll learn
- The inside story of how CAMS at NAIT secured—and sustains—their Society for Simulation in Healthcare accreditation, and what that means for quality and credibility
- Ways a strong interprofessional education (IPE) focus supports communication, teamwork, and psychological safety across 20+ allied health programs
